FAQ

What does my entry fee cover?

Your entry fee (minus associated credit card fees) will be donated to a charity of our choice

Can I enter on the event day?

There will be a limited time to enter on the day. We encourage all participants to register online before the cut-off date (5th of May) to streamline the check-in process on the day. The check-in process will involve picking up your timing chip and race bib. Then there will be a quick presentation about the course and a warm-up as well.

Will I need sunscreen?

The event is early in the morning to minimize exposure to hot weather and extreme UV levels. However, it is still advised to put on sunscreen before the event because participants will be outside without shade whilst running the event.

Do I need to bring a water bottle?

Water will be provided during and at the end of the event.

Can I leave my bag somewhere on the day?

Yes, you can leave your bag in the event marquee, which will be manned throughout the event.

Do you offer refunds?

At this stage, we are unable to offer refunds because the entry fee represents a donation to our chosen charity . It is non-refundable under any circumstances, not transferable and entitles participation for only the person whose name and address is on the registration. If the event should be cancelled due to Covid-19 Friends of the Community Inc. will reimburse the entry fee.

Can I bring my dog?

If you are participating in the Lake Walk, you may bring your dog, but it must be on a leash at all times. Please do not take your dog along the bush tracks for the Trail Run.

What do I do with my timing device once I cross the finish line?

Please drop your timing device in one of the containers provided by an event volunteer at the end of the race.

Is there anything happening after the event?

There will be an award presentation and fruit and water for the participants, if you are placed in the first three and not staying for the presentation, please advise staff.
